VIUcams	September 29, 2021 - 8:46am	History The VIUcam pilot project was initiated in Spring of 2008 by Facilties Services and Campus Development and was developed together with VIU's Communications & IT Departments as a tool to give the VIU community virtually live feedback on weather, parking and other interesting activities & events on campus. Research was performed on systems used by other organizations, including municipalities & alpine resorts. The Nanaimo Campus VIUcam was officially running as of Fall 2008.
VIU Welcome Centre ramp replacement	April 2, 2024 - 3:16pm	Background VIU’s Welcome Centre, cafeteria, library, Campus Store and the Malaspina Theatre all surround the Nanaimo campus' main courtyard, called the quad. The path between the quad and the main entrance and visitor parking area is heavily used. The existing ramp at this intersection is steep, narrow and lacks handrails on both sides. It is also concealed behind a thick concrete wall with tall bushes in front of it and does not meet current codes and standards.

The Community Leader Experience	March 14, 2023 - 1:42pm	The Community Leaders are place in residence to help residents have a network of people to reach out to for questions, help, and solutions to problems they may be experiencing. Therefore, they are heavily involved within the ResTide community and help create healthy relationships within residence.
